Simple but Fun … a worthwhile purchase and gift – This was bought as a thank you gift for a friend who has an August birthday. It is a cute little necklace that is slightly whimsical and silly. I happen to collect frogs and thought it would be a nice touch to share. The pendant itself is simple but fun … if you are looking for detailed, finite, craftsmanship this may not be the piece for you but for the spirit with which it is intended it completely hits the mark. Although I have not tried the chain on myself, I did note the delicacy of the chain and realize it is not an everyday, through the wringer, stand up to baby tugs, distance runs or even sleeping in kind of necklace. However, my recipient doesn’t sleep in her jewelry, have babies or even run – so we are in pretty good shape on this end. I like the peridot stone choice … it is not common, except in intentional birthstone pieces so it does make the charm even more unique and special – and the green in the pendant I received is attractive in a very spring green fashion. Overall, I am very pleased with this pendant / necklace and would buy it again after seeing it in person.
