Good quality – I bought these to put seahorse brooches in as gifts for my sisters and my daughter. They are sturdy, come with a cotton or polyester batting inside, and they have a jacquard finish. Very nice for the price and they don’t look cheap.

The Cotton is wispy and thin – So the cotton is SUPER thin, and a little wispy. It makes it so that you really probably want to stack the cotton into 2 layers before use, which means that you only have about 1/2 the product that you were hoping for (image included shows the double layer example). Now, I wouldn’t recommend anything “heavy duty” like a metallic necklace or a bracelet; or anything small like earrings. But it would probably work decently with a keychain — which is what I was planning to primarily use it for anyway. So yeah, it’s inexpensive, but you definitely get what you paid for when it comes to the cotton. “Caveat Emptor!!” as they say.

The begining of craft gifts for preschoolers – I had an unusual use for these. My four young grandchildren live across the country so just recuperating from surgery I ordered these boxes, some Christmas stamps, and Christmast stickers and had each of them decorate three boxes with their names on them, telling them Grandma was sending them a treat for inside each. Then I mailed nine dollars, three one dollar bills for each box. And, the school teacher in me also wanted to point out that three boxes each with three dollars in each makes nine dollars to spend at the dollar store. I often send them dollars for the dollar store, and their parents love the outting, while the kids like the sense of power they have of making choices when under the age of five, and coming home with “lots of stuff,” which in turn keeps them out of mischief for a short attention span. And, it all started with these little boxes, and all this stuff mailed via Amazon Prime and cards from the dollar store. It becomes a more memorable gift than another toy. I mail them some little thing every month as I don’t see them even once a year…only on Facetime. Stickers and boxes from Amazon work well!

Nice box, not enough filling. – The box itself looks nice and is great quality. My only complaint is that the cotton inside does not fill the bottom completely. It is cut too short.

What I needed – Some boxes come with a thicker filler while others have a thinner filler. For the thin ones I just added double filler, it’s not like I needed to use all the boxes at once anyway. Added a keychain inside to gift, fit perfectly.
