One side had a plain background with a printed initial and the other side had a textured background with a cursive initial. The necklace was nice looking. It was her first piece of jewelry that was not plastic. If she happens to break it by chance, then no big deal. It was inexpensive, but don’t let the fact that it is inexpensive make you hesitate buying it. It is perfect for younger ones up to early teens.
