This is my new favorite piece – I love how much storage space it has. I would have been able to fit more if most of my items were not big. The set up was easy, but putting this on the wall will be a bit frustrating. I’m not sure where the lock on this will be located (the notice on the mirror says there is a key) but it would have definitely made this even more perfect. I would recommend

Good project for crafty or stubborn people – When I first opened the jewelry organizer, it smelled horrible. Like chemicals and paint, the smell lingered in my house for over an hour. The jewelry organizer came with many, many cracks, loose screws, and shotty work. Significant gaps between every connected piece. The mirror in the front is cheap looking, and there is such a huge gap between the mirror edge and the frame that you can keep pennies in it. The gap is very noticeable. The picture frame part on the small door has what looks like built-up paint or manufactured wood in the corners. It makes putting anything in the frame difficult. The doors are noticeably different materials or patterns compared to the rest of the jewelry organizer. The velvet is ok, not nice but just ok. The description of the jewelry organizer says it is lockable. There was even a sticker on the mirror saying the keys were inside. There is NO lock or a place to put a lock. I tried to hang it on my door using the provided door hooks and screws; it is lopsided. I ended up taking it apart, sanding then painting, and replacing all the hardware with better quality stuff. It is much better now. On a good note, the size is fantastic and much bigger than other jewelry organizers in the same category. It is a good project organizer if you are crafty or, in the very least stubborn. It has ok bones.

And even if I wanted to use it for small things, the pouch is against it so it pushes things off. The door doesn’t stay open or shut, just wants to hang out in the middle. Just upset my partner threw out the packaging so we can’t return it.
