The finish has remained perfect and the chain intact. You can change the length for easy layering. It is a bit on the shiny side but, so are the rest of my dainty layering necklaces so they look nice together. One side has the stamped initial and the other is plain and can be worn with either side showing if you don’t want the initial in view.
