Fragile garbage – Way over priced. Mine was purchased as a gift for my GF. It showed up in ziplock bags lol, one was broke and the suspension oil/fluid and grit was everywhere. The other earring was ok but appeared dry inside and the internals where hard. I only gave two stars because at least the company gave me a reund after about 10 days.

Beautiful – These were very beautiful, very light weight, the only reason I’m giving it a 4 instead of 5 is because when you close the clasp in the back it didn’t line up correctly and was crooked.

So disappointing – As soon as I opened the package and saw the earrings, I was SO disappointed. I purchased these “floating opal” earrings in white gold to go with the antique floating opal necklace (in sterling) left to me by my mother. The necklace’s glass “bulb” contains many small, individual chunks of gem-quality opal literally floating in a clear liquid that appears to be slightly thicker than water. When worn, all the pieces of opal gather at the bottom of the bulb, and it’s just beautiful. I’ve loved that necklace all my life, and used to play with it as a child (with permission, of course), turning it over and all around to watch the little chunks of opal move around to match whichever way I turned it. I’ve wanted earrings to match ever since I inherited the necklace, and I thought these would be perfect–after all, they are advertised as “floating opal” earrings. Unfortunately, the pieces of opal are more like flakes, and they are held motionless in some kind of clear polymer or plastic, so they don’t “float around” like the opal chunks in my mom’s necklace. Worse still, they aren’t held in place evenly–one entire side of one earring is simply clear. When looking at that side of the bulb (the front), you can see a couple of opal-y flashes from the sides, and there is a bit of opal on the opposite side (inside) of the little glass container; but the the front side of the dangle is totally empty of opal; you can see all the way through the empty middle of it to the other side. Definitely returning these as fast as I can. If I could have chosen to give zero stars, I would have.
